Goodreads asked Korry Franke:

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Korry Franke There is a particular scene in 3 Feet to the Left where I describe being in the hospital with my grandfather. Nearly every single person who previewed the manuscript told me that section really impacted them emotionally. My wife refuses to even read that section any more. Knowing that I have connected on such a deeply personal level with my readers is incredibly rewarding. It means I've pulled them out of the pages and ink and put them into their own lives, recalling a deeply personal moment in their own lives. That's powerful stuff, and it drives me to be an even better, more engaging writer.
