I've always been an avid reader who appreciates a great story well told. I love the way well-placed words meld together and transport readers into new worlds. I also enjoy the act of writing, the grinding and revising and tweaking that leads to clear thoughts.
Of course, I think much of my inspiration also comes from my family, particularly my grandfather, who I feature in 3 Feet to the Left. A plumber and pipefitter by trade, he was constantly writing, including a manuscript of his own. It is one of my life goals to ensure that his book gets published.
