Kevin Hearne has said he has postponed work on this series to work on his Jedi Knight books. He recently updated us.
"We will have to wait until 2016 for Book 8 STAKED but at least we will have a short story and novella to look forward to in 2015!"
The novella in question being Prelude to War.

I'm thinking around the same time the last book was released. He said it took him months to write that one and he just moved from AZ to CO :)
