izzy asked Mary Elizabeth Summer:

What inspired you to become a writer or to write books?

Mary Elizabeth Summer My favorite place when I was in fifth grade was my elementary school's library. One day I came across a book on how to write stories. I read that thing cover to cover and took copious notes about each page. I was a pretty boring fifth grader. Then in high school, I decided I wanted to work for NASA, either as an astronaut or a mechanical engineer. Seriously--I went to Space Camp and everything. Then I took a physics class in college, and I was all NOPE. Guess I'm going back to writing about spaceships. And then I wrote about a con artist. Life. LOL
