Hey Mr. Machale, It's been quite some time since I've read your Pendragon series. Interesting fact, while many readers in my generation attribute their love of books to Harry Potter, my foray into reading was actually through your stories. My question may be a bit simpler than most, but I've always been curious. Would you call the Pendragon fantasy, science fiction, or both?

D.J. MacHale Ooh, good question. I've had trouble myself trying to categorize it. The thing is, the overarching story is fantasy. But each individual story (book) is a bit different. Some are fantasy, but others could be considered Science Fiction. I just kind of lump it all together into the category of: Adventure!
