I always hung out with artists in New York City. Through my arts friends I got very involved with John Cage, and the Cage Foundation. In fact, when Cage was still alive, I used to live not far from Cage and Merce Cunningham. Through my interest in Cage, I became very interested in Sound Art. My first Sound Art contact was DJ Olive. Not long after that, I was put in touch with Stephen Vitiello, who is featured in my book (along with my own architectural works that feature sound installations).
