Do you read to the kids?

Rachel DeFriez I encourage a very healthy amount of group reading of each other's work in my Creative Writing classes. In French, of course, we read all sorts of French. Rarely, do I do the reading. Occasionally, in the spirit of group sharing (setting the tone of putting yourself out there) I'll read something I wrote.

Do you think that you are a character driven writer, or a plot driven writer? Do you ever find yourself writing in a way contradictory to your regular drive, like, writing a story that is character driven when you usually are a plot driven writer, or visa versa?
