Jeanine We'll, technically you can but it's a risk. You have to know the way your body and period react to being in water. Our bodies are designed to stop bleeding when we enter the water BUT, Everyone IS different. Plus, I have done it myself without a tampon but I only stayed in the water to dip in and out, to cool off. Then you must deal with having a pad in a bathroom nearby to quickly slip it on during out of pool moments. I'd also suggest a towel to wrap around in case of pesky leaks. BEST: speak with your Family Doctor about tampon use and instructions. You Can do it when taught properly.
