Hmm, I don't think I'm in a position to give advice to aspiring writers because I myself am one. What's most important to me is to write for the sake of writing. I know a few people that write with the hopes of making it rich, without caring about the content of their books.
I think it's important to remain realistic about the market. Not many books sell well, and I see that as a possibility for my own book. However, the joy and self-understanding I derived from writing Ashra could not have been achieved in any other way, and that is what will keep me writing books in the future.
