I've had the privilege for the past several years of working with a fantastic indigenous collaborator, Dr Tyron Love. He and I are working on a book that looks at how white people's ways of viewing the world (specifically in Aotearoa New Zealand, but the examples will probably have relevance elsewhere as well) tend to saturate media and popular culture to the extent that we can no longer recognise them as specifically cultural, but tend to assume they are 'real' or 'natural'. We're only up to writing our second chapter but it's proving a challenging, and exciting, project. Stay tuned!
