As a writer and artist, the biggest challenge is the blank page or canvas that is waiting for me. I approach it like a worker approaches a factory job: piecemeal. I start the cranky engine, even if I just write the word "the", or paint a simple shape. Half the battle is inertia. I create for the sake of creating and then polish the "pearls" once I get a good thing going.
