Goodreads asked Lauren N. Sharman:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Lauren N. Sharman My advice for aspiring writers is to remember that whatever you're working on is NOT your final draft. When writing a story, include everything...all the dialogue, description, action, sex, etc. that's running through your head. You can always go back and edit. In fact, you WILL go back and edit, so say it all. If you sit in front of your computer and stew over writing the perfect sentence or paragraph right off the bat, you'll drive yourself crazy. Include it all, even if it doesn't sound exactly the way you want it to...you will be going over your manuscript dozens of times before it's finalized, and will have plenty of time to make changes and perfect everything.
