Corrie and her sister were thankful that they were able to get any of those things at all. And maybe it seems crazy to be thankful for the fleas, it's because it kept the guards at more of a distance when they were in that big room.

Good question. Te Bible tells us to be thankful in all circumstances. It acknowledges that He is Lord of all the details in our lives, and in some way brings good out of things that we might not see as good. There is always something to be thankful for in every situation.....although who would have thought that fleas could be a way of protecting the prisoners from inspection? But Betsie and Corrie were thankful for them and God then used them.....
