Daisha Thornton
Daisha Thornton asked Shannon Lee Alexander:

advice for future writers?

Shannon Lee Alexander Keep writing. Be tenacious.

There were times I thought I'd never get Charlie's story right. I can't count the number of versions there are of Love and Other Unknown Variables. But since my friend Em, to whom the book is dedicated, never gave up on her fight against cancer, I didn't feel right giving up on the story. I had to dig in and keep writing.

If you keep writing and stay true to that voice in your heart, eventually you'll get it right. And getting it right is worth all the work.
