Thanks for the 21st Kate Shugak novel. Are you working on the next? I was thinking K&J Investigations as a way for Kate and Jim to work together doing what they do best. Will Jim's plane have a jump seat for Mutt?

Dana Stabenow Right now I'm writing The Eye of Isis, about Cleopatra's fixer set in Alexandria during Cleopatra's life. Next I'll write the 22nd Kate Shugak novel. And Mutt hasn't needed a jump seat so far. Thanks, Deborah!

I've read you for years, as you will see by my question. In the '80s or '90s several of you "killed off " your protagonist's love interest....maybe all in the same year... Boy, were some of us p'o'd. One of the authors had her protagonist living in Sacramento, Ca. and her character was named Cat something. I've forgotten that author's name and wondered if you might remember that author's name?
