This is cool. I randomely found this book on the "new this month" list. I'm actually from Friendswood originally! It'll be cool to check out my hometown through the author's perspective

Duane I went to high school in Friendswood in the 70's, and I also was interested just to see if this was totally fiction or if there were some real references.
I did find valid historical information on the chemical spill that much of this story surrounds.
But that spill happened after I left Friendswood.
Road references were familiar names. And some fictitious people and or landmarks were cleverly named (purposely or inadvertently I don't know) that mixed names of people and places I knew in the 70's. As far as the actual story however I could not stay with it. Characters and situations jumped around, rambled and were far too disconnected and hard to follow to keep my interest.. Therefore I couldn't even finish this book.
