Is this storyline ringing bells for anyone?? Particularly Diana Gabaldon fans? Main character called Claire who's a nurse, who falls in love with a soldier called Jamie? Full of adventure, heroism and passionate love? Because it's sounding pretty similar to me. Did she think no one would notice how much of a copy this seems to be?

Amy Having read both Outlander and previous Fiona McIntosh novels, I can confidently say Nightingale will have almost nothing in common with Gabaldon's story! Completely different writers, and the story doesn't sound that similar. I'm sure the author chose the name Nightingale on purpose, perhaps a direct homage to Florence.
Tara Chevrestt But there's no time travel. Which is the main thing in the Outlander series. You make an interesting point though. I'm more irritated by the use of Nightingale. They couldn't come up with a more unique name for a nurse? LOL
