Tristan
Tristan asked Brian Olsen:

Happy Holiday's Brian to you and your family. I stumbled across your Multiverse Mashup series, and I have to say I am addicted. Jed Ryland is one of my most favorite characters. I have read allot of multiverse/parallel earth books, and yours is so refreshing and new. I just have two questions: what inspired you to mix up these different genre universes? Second, will this be an ongoing series or just a trilogy?

Brian Olsen Hi, Tristan! Happy holidays to you and yours as well. I've always read a lot of different genres, and I wanted a fun way to include many types of stories in one series. I think I drew a lot of inspiration from superhero comics, which can include so many different genres in one shared universe, and (probably more so) Doctor Who, which can switch genres entirely from one story to the next, while staying within a science fiction framework. (I'm a huge Who fan.)

"Multiverse Mashup" is intended to be an ongoing series with no set end, but I'm letting it rest for a while. I'm working on a new trilogy now that will take me through 2018 at least. After that, I'm not as sure, but I do anticipate coming back to Jed eventually - I know what his next big adventure is, so I'll need to get that down at some point. Thanks for the questions, and thanks for reading!
