I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, since I watched it first. The books are always better, but in this case the filmmakers seemed to want to really make it their own and not necessarily stay very close to the story from the book. I actually love the choice of actors, but film adaptations are always disappointing because they can never live up to what you've already seen and felt while reading the story yourself. Even so, I do hope they make the sequel, but that they stay truer to the book.

I thought the actor choices were alright but yeah the movie was very bad. Well I thought so its just my opinion.

I agree with Shari. I had a very hard time sitting through the whole thing. Badly casted and the whole thing made me cringe. I didn't like how Valentine was casted the most.

the movie was bad! Jace in the movie had no emotion! he wasn't sarcastic sounding at all!

Yeah I had the same experience. For me it was even okay that Valentin was totally different because it seemed to fit in but the rest was shit. That they showed Jace like a romantic not-that-bad-boy.. At least the jokes they copied (like the classic one "I'm natural blond") where totally lame.

Yeah the characters don't suit at all even though I myself haven't seen the whole movie :(
