A Goodreads user asked this question about The Strange Death of Europe: Immigration, Identity, Islam:
Anyone think this book and the likes are just fear mongering? Consider this "the total number of Muslims in Europe (excluding Turkey) in 2010 was about 44 million (6% of the total population), including 19 million (3.8% of the population) in the European Union".

There's the old saying, there are three types of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics.
Taking the whole of EU is meaningless, there are only very few in eastern Europe. For example, London has more than 12%, and Birmingham more than 20%, whereas England has more than 5%.
More important is the trajectory, for example, Bradford's Muslim population grew from 75k to 125k between 2001 and 2011. And that's the last census data (the new one coming up soon and will likely show significant growth again.)(less)
