Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
I was inspired through my family's personal experience with Misophonia. Misophonia is unknown to many, including doctors and therapists, and due to this, it took a long and difficult number of years for my family to find the name that we were so desperately searching for. I began writing my fictional story about a 15-year-old girl, Jessica, with the hope of capturing the emotion, fear, frustration, and struggles that was felt, not only within my own family, but within so many other families as well, that have fought through, and continue to fight through, the same destructive battle. My only hope with publishing this novel, is not only to entertain the reader, but for the novel itself to be a contribution to the spreading of more awareness of Misophonia.
