Readable light comedy. Portrayal of Iceland from an outsiders perspective, vivid and interesting. "Comedy" spelling of Icelandic names "torture", "thing valley" wears thing. Lead character is unlikable, not necessarily a bad thing but I think we are supposed to like him. Mildly enjoyable.
