Am I missing something here? Don't get me wrong, the parts of the book I understood were fantastic, and Durzo has become one of my favourite characters of all time. But I feel like I'm missing out on a lot. Many names of places and people are just tossed in and just left up to assumption. Is there a prequel to this series, or are my comprehensive skills just a bit low?

There is a prequel, but it doesn't answer a lot of it; perhaps I'm a complete idiot, but I kept confusing Lodricar with Ladesh, and had no idea Durzo had visited Terah Graesin until my third time reading Book 3. Either we are both idiots (hard for me ot believe), or its hard to understand.
