I am very keen on all kinds of Jazz and big band swing. However, I do collect a whole range of music, early rock and roll, blues, 1930's 1940's big bands and orchestras. Popular artists too, Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby and many more.
I find it amazing how wonderful the sound is, how authentic and immediate. Mind you it is important to get a really good wind up player of the period, a good sound box/diaphragm and lots of needles, a new one for every record played.
