As your "soul" now become someone else's "movie" how do you feel re: attempts to "co-opt" the meaning? I speak of media placing "political" meaning upon it.
I ask because the novel is one of the most powerful things I've ever read, yet I can't even explain what it means to me. How can they explain it then?
Do attempts to "co-opt" your voice bother you? Intrigue you? Amuse you?
I think the filmmakers did a good job of presenting the questions that the book raises without attempting a politcial...or theological...spin
