This book is like nothing you have ever seen before. Even though aliens are the big problem, it is not just your regular alien-invasion sci-fy book. It makes you question the problems in the world today and the emotions are so clear, you feel them right through the page. Plus; there is a four-way love triangle. It gets pretty complicated when two people are sharing one body.

I don't think its similar to Twilight at all. This book makes you think about humanity and world living in a different and special way. The love story is kind of odd - but the style of writing has been improved and I really enjoyed the interactions in Melanies head ;)

I personally felt that it was extremely different from Twilight. I did not enjoy Twilight one bit, but The Host is one of my all time favorites. The first few chapters are slow, but it sped up quickly! I didn't sleep much that night. I would definably recommend this book.

Stephenie Meyer really did an amazing job here. I hated the twilight series but I absolutely fell in love with this book.

I haven't read the book yet, but I watched the movie and it is amazing. It IS as good as it sounds, and if you like romance/adventure kind of books then I completely recommend that you read it.

I enjoyed Twilight but this is not on the same lines...no vampires but an unusual story line. A little slow at start maybe but I had no trouble completing the book!
