Immense fan here, since '96. What helped you decide to finally write subsequent stories to The Giver? Was Son the end game or did each story present itself separately to you? Also, thank you for Son. It was stunning.

Lois Lowry Thank you. I love SON as well. It was quite a task putting it together, since it covered fourteen years and I had to incorprorate all of those past characters.

What do you think of the the movie? Was you involved in any of the making of it? Personally I read the book because I wanted to watch the movie and ended up loving so much the book that I don't want to watch the movie after seeing how much the trailer differs from the book.
