Why now and why Midford? There are still volumns to be told about the characters, and Jan Karon has developed them that way. The simnple answer is ...because there is still much to be told and a huge audience wants to hear/read it!

I'm SO HAPPY!!! Didn't get into reading this series until about a year ago - then I devoured them - the only one I haven't read is the one where he returns to his hometown. I am saving that for the long cold winter. I want to know what happens to everyone!

Why not?? Why shouldn't there be another sequel...the premise is quite logical!!
