Anne asked:

Why do you think that Anne Lamott named this book Rosie? Elizabeth felt to me to be the main character. or it was about the relationships, mother daughter, mother lover, mother friend, daughter mother's lover, daughter friend? why Rosie?

Jessica Though Elizabeth is definitely the main character and the book is told mostly through her perspective, a child is often the center of the world to a mother, regardless of what else is going on. Rosie gives Elizabeth's life shape and color when there otherwise would be nothing for her to grasp onto. It's not all about Rosie, but it is.
