Goodreads asked Savannah Maris:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Savannah Maris Unwelcomed Greeting was sparked by two factors.

1. I grew up in a small southern town that's changed throughout my lifetime so I created a small sultry southern town.
2. The song "The Night the Lights Went Out In Georgia" by Reba McEntire. The words just meshed one day with the other ideas running in my head and The Riverton Crossing series came to life.
