asked:
I have not read the book Loving by Henry Green but the reviews sound a lot like the book Manservant and Maidservant by Ivy Compton-Burnett. Can anyone who has read both books compare the two?

Loving is much more focused on the workers themselves than ICB's book, which is more broadly focused on the family of Horace Lamb and the people around him, which includes the house workers. Both are told in mostly dialogue (well-written subtle dialogue at that), although Loving is a bit more experimental.
