It can be emotionally draining to write about personal experiences. Writing the Reluctant Caregiver forced me to reassess my relationship with my parents, my triumphs and failures as a daughter. It also forced me relive their diseases and their deaths. What inspired me to push forward was the hope that I may help another struggling caregiver understand that she/he is not alone.
