Goodreads asked Rebecca A. Rogers:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Rebecca A. Rogers Other than the stereotypical "don't ever give up" line? Just do it. No excuses. Find time to park your butt in a chair and type away. Your writing doesn't have to be perfect, as long as you're making progress. Kill your inner editor, and then resurrect him/her later to work some magic. And when people tell you to give up, that you're just not good enough (and they will), prove them wrong.
