Mara Black Pieces of Autumn is set in a time following an economic collapse of sorts. I don't really classify it as "dystopian" novel because that aspect is not central to the story, it was more of a device to explain how an agency like Stoker could be so massive and powerful - in the absence of a proper government and law enforcement, there is nothing to stop them.
