Rick Morrissey I thought that the name of the town Massina was interesting. Massina was conquered and subjugated by the Spartans. Eddie Rake was was a fierce Spartan leader who dominated and captivated Massina. Loved and hated in equal measure his Spartans would die before letting him down.
Theresa I think the author chose the setting because it is the story of Friday nights in just about every small town in the South.
