I don't have a release date yet for book 6, but yes, there will be a book 6 in the series and I know who the characters are. However, I don't like to reveal details until I'm deeper into the writing process for fear of jinxing things and having it stall along the way. But if this story plays out, I can say one of the characters in the pairing is from a previous book (but I won't say which one or who it is yet). :)
As soon as I can share more info, I will definitely run to post an update.

I don't remember if I asked this question or not, old age setting in ;). Book 3 of the men of halfway house has been released in audio. Are there any plans/eta for books 1 & 2?
