Complete a first draft of your book. Don't expect it to be perfect, just get it written. The secret to good writing is re-writing but finishing a manuscript is a HUGE achievement. Once you've got a finsihed manuscript then you can step back and see what you've got. Rewrite it as much as necessary and then set about getting it published.
