Goodreads asked Lindsay McKenna:

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Lindsay McKenna I have readers who love what I love to read. I started out writing because I couldn't find anything that was what I wanted to read. I taught myself to write over a 22 year period and published at 35 years old. And then, I was telling stories I wanted to read, creating the Military Romance in 1981 because there were no romances with military heroes in them. In the early 1990's, I created the 3-book series with LOVE and GLORY, Silhouette Special Edition because I wanted to read books that were connected, had a theme and had heroes and heroines I could follow. And through it all, the best thing? That there were other people out there just like me who wanted to read what I was writing. THAT was amazing to me! But I'm thrilled pink about it and grateful for all my loyal readers who are a joy to connect with!
