Goodreads asked Larry Watts:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Larry Watts Once I have an idea for a novel, I discipline myself to write at least a thousand words each morning, usually five days each week until I have a first draft. Sometimes, when I am not inspired, those words end up on the cutting room floor before the novel is published, but often I find gems in the writing I force myself to do.
