Goodreads asked John David Lionel Brooke:

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

John David Lionel Brooke Sitting on my ass, 12 to 14 hours a day, luxuriating in my own universe. Sending my stuff to readers and reaching out to the world through the fabulous internet on to obtain reliable research data, places, philosophies, scientific data, what ever . If the pen was mightier than the sword, then the computer is more powerful than the pen? My only problem with this idyllic occupation are the calluses on my buttocks, no joke.
Also collected an enormous growing list of ‘isms;’ Narcissism, Masochism, Mannerism, Realism, Symbolism, Objectivism, Paganism, Eroticism … I’ve studiously avoided that dreadful ‘ism,’ Plagiarism.
