Goodreads asked Rena Johnson:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Rena Johnson I used to have writer's block when I first started writing. The whole idea for writing for a book was so different from the research papers I was used to. But, now, I think through what I want to write, and sometimes In write notes. By the time I sit down at the computer, I've just about written the whole book in my head. So, all I have to do, is write. Oh, I do think when writing a novel, an outline is good. Not, the basic type, but the type that requires outlining the main idea of each paragraph, and a bullet of the supporting details for each point you want to say in that paragraph.

Thanks for your question, and Good Luck!
