There's no romance, right? It focuses on other topics?

Lucy There are some moments of romance. Much of the main character's stress comes from navigating her relationship with her (white) boyfriend, a relationship which continues to deepen throughout the book. It's very sweet and respectful.
Stacy Well there are a number of different relationships that play an important role throughout the novel. So while it isn't about a budding romance, which is what I think you are asking, I wouldn't say it leaves out love, couples, etc. Those things exist throughout the book, but you are looking at them through a different lens.
