Goodreads asked Lynn Mcpherson:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Lynn Mcpherson I have a set time I write. Mornings tend to be my most alert times so I generally set aside 2-3 hours then where I sit down and stare at the screen. If I find I don't have anything to write, I might go back and review a scene from earlier in the book or take notes on what I'd like to see happen further along in the story. Usually that will get my focus back in line. Later on in the day, once I have started focusing on a certain scene or even conversation, I find it easier to finish, even if I'm a little more tired. I don't like to leave scenes half finished.
