"Britain left India about 70 years ago and with all the resources of modern technology India could have solved its problems of poverty long ago, instead of being the world's greatest reservoir of human misery."
With a per capita gdp of 9000 rs. in 1947, a literacy rate of 11%, a tertiary education budget of the whole country being the same as the schooling budget of New York, rampant physical psychological hardship, the task of stitching together fragmented states while fighting enemies on 3 fronts, you expect India to leapfrog into superpower status in 5 decades?

The amount of self loathing and ignorance in your post is mind blowing, the british did imprint some serious stockholm syndrome in some of you.(less)
