I like quiet times free from all distractions. It's hard to get, with work and family, but I make sure I get it everyday without getting in the way of my responsibilities. That means getting up at four in the morning. During the morning hours I spend it in prayer, reading and reflecting on God's Word. During this time I do not write. It causes me to be real reflective and to be inspired by concepts, human nature, society and people. It sets me up for later on in the morning when I do sit down and write. If I skip this part of my day my writing will not flow.
