And now that I've done my research and looked up It's Kind of a Funny Story, (discovering that the author committed suicide last month), I'm a little intrigued.
I'm choosing The End of Alice because this one is on my TBR list AND works for my challenge.

What challenge is that, Kim?
I'm having a break from challenges for a bit after last year's CR Treasure Hunt. It was awesome fun, and I made some great discoveries, but right now I'm enjoying being able to choose books purely because I want to read them again!

Awww. That's very kind of you! But furreals - do feel free to pick the book you REALLY want to read. I'll be happy with whatever's chosen.

Your House Is on Fire, Your Children All Gone looks sooo good, everyone. And I've never even heard of it before... Doesn't somebody else want to vote for that one with me?

I know some people who've rated that one very highly.

I always have trouble picking from these polls; the books on them all look so intriguing! So, no matter which one gets picked, the ones I haven't read on this list are all now on my to-read list. :D
And we have a winner! I'll set up the thread in a tick for our first group read of 2014..
