Poll
In what order should Pierre Berton's books be added to the CanLit Challenge?
Chronologically according to subject matter, followed by more general works.
Randomly.
In the order he published them.
In some other way (comments below).

Oh my goodness! Are you planning to read them all? I voted for randomly thinking that you'd pick one now and then as it appealed to you.

I plan to read most of them (i.e. at least the main ones), but yes only one once in a while. If I decide to read them in order of publication I might slot them in so that they're read around the same time as the other CanLit books of the same period. So, for example, Klondike: The Last Great Gold Rush, 1896-1899 was published in 1958 (seq. Wikipedia), so it would come sometime between Under the Ribs of Death and The Double Hook. If by chronology of subject matter, I might decide to read them at around the same time as I read books written at the time of the events chronicled (though I'd have to play catch up). In other words, read Vimy after Canadian Poetry from the Beginnings through the First World War (?-1918) and before Over Prairie Trails (1922) --okay maybe that wasn't the best example since I'd have half a dozen books to read to get caught up since I'm just about up to 1910 in the list chronologically and I don't want to stop and just read Pierre Berton books until I'm synched up. Should have thought about this a long time ago. :)
Randomly might be the best bet then, eh?
