if i read around 100 pages or so I'd maybe let it count because I made the edfort and spend much time on it (maybe even more that i would've needed for a whole book!!

I kinda feel this way too! but at the same time I sometimes feel like if I dropped it it shouldn't count... I'm torn about it tbh. I also don't know how to feel about adding extremely short books or articles that are logged on goodreads because they're technically not books? even if they are logged here...

i kind of wish goodreads and the kindle app were smart enough to recognize i'm just reading a 50 page comic book and not count that as a full book! lol i have not read 315 actual text books in 2026, but i have read 315 comic books, graphhic novels and rpg manuals! lol its silly, so i dont stress over iti'm at 52 full text books thus far and thats 52 more than 99.9 percent of americans! lol

I don't even have the habit of logging manga on Goodreads exactly because of that, I only do it on anilist because I like to keep things organized lol like imagine if I were to log... *checks* over 23 thousand chapters on Goodreads. oh my godddd

I would say if you at least read half the book it should count! Otherwise it would be for nothing. I have no problem DNF books lol so i like to think they still count.
