I've read A Time of Gifts and The Other, and I think they're great for this time of year. I've been wanting to read the other two as well, so . . . what to vote for.

I had initially voted for The Enchanted April until I thought: wouldn't that be better in April?? So I went with Wish Her Safe at Home. Though, really, I think any of these are great nominations.

A Time for Gifts sounds great for a November read. I hope to see it back up there if it does not make it.

A Time of Gifts was our November podcast a few years ago, and it just suited the time perfectly. It begins in December, but much of the first part is through the colder months. It's filled with peaceful moments in the evenings, visiting with newfound friends. Definitely a high recommendation for any time of year, but very suitable.

Trevor, regardless of the outcome on the voting, can you post a link to that podcast?

You bet. Here we are in our second episode (so I apologize for some of the technical hiccups, but I think it's listenable still :-) ).

One of our favorites we've discussed on the podcast. I also see that I was wrong on the dates. We did this in late October, not November, but I know I carried the book with me well into the shortening days of winter.

Since my vote for Wish Her Safe at Home is not doing much good for the last place book, I'm switching to A Time of Gifts. I'd just love to discuss it here.

I am up for scary in October, but as I actually have Time of Gifts, and it has been recommended to me before, I will be happy with whichever way it goes.
