Alexander Campbell Sounds like a pretty trippy storey Katey! Trippey is a throw back word like cool. It is usually presented in the context of vividly imagineable, or mind expanding,or real groovey in simpler terms! Have you read Brave New World by Aldous Huxley! That is real trippy!

message 16: by Alexander (new)

Alexander Campbell Or you might want to try Doors of Perception/Heaven and Hell, by same author! One point Huxley makes is that everything you have with regards to the 5 senses is stored indelibly in your minds memory banks. Even things that occurred while you were still in the womb. One just has to learn the recall process! Wild eh???

Alexander Campbell I am presently working my through Stephen Hawkins interpretations of Einstein's theory of special relatively with regards to how gravity bends light and why the passage of time is relative to your proximity of stellar gravitational bodies! Great stuff. What Hawkins maintains is; although Einstein was one of the greatest minds in Theoretical Physics, he was not complete in his works! But neither was Galileo or Newton. They just took us one step closer to our ultimate goal, which is Travel at speeds in excess of The Speed of Light!

Jessica This is a GREAT book. One of the best books I have read in my entire life. The movie was good too. It definitely stayed true to the book.

message 22: by [deleted user] (new)

Only on sixth chapter. Which chapter was your fave?

message 23: by Alana (new)

Alana W I loved this book it was so intense and funny, also interesting.

message 24: by Candyce (new)

Candyce I haven't finished it yet but I'm not really into it. I feel that most of this book is just them beating each other up. It only starts to get interesting towards the end. I know that others may disagree and say it's an amazing book but we all have different opinions. I don't think this book is right for me.
